WYCOMBE RYE
Wycombe Rye is a large area of grass and park land just beyond High Wycombe town centre. There are two children’s playgrounds in the park, lots of flat grassland ideal for playing football, a café, stream and even a little waterfall and stepping stones ideal for water play in the summer.

Our kids love the adventure playground and the park is a great hangout in the summer, ideal for picnics.
When it’s a hot day it’s worth going to the Rye for the kids to paddle in the water near the waterfall. See the waterfall marked on the map here.
NEED TO KNOW
Parking: the cheapest place to park is in the Rye Lido car park. This is a pay and display car park. Alternatively there is the Railway Place car park which is a shorter walk to the play grounds but quite a bit more expensive. We enjoy the walk through the park to the play grounds so always park at the Lido.
Cafe: the café is fairly basic but ideal for coffees and ice creams. Take cash!
Facilities: the only toilets are near the car park at the Lido and it’s quite a trek between the car park and the café/adventure play area. They are basically at opposite ends of the park. Worth remembering especially if you are potty training!
Boating: in the summer months you can hire little boats from the café to paddle around the river.
