TURVILLE HEATH FAMILY WALK
Turville Heath is a ‘green’ type area where The Barn Cafe can be found. This café is unique in that you cannot reach it by car. That heath is a lovely place to rest and refresh half way through a walk.
We love this walk for the beautiful countryside with fantastic views and woodland for the kids to explore.
NEED TO KNOW
Distance: the route that’s shown on the map is roughly 2.5 miles. On outward route there is a bit of uphill but it’s nice to enjoy the downhill when the kids have tired legs on the way home!
If you are with a young child who cannot make this distance, you can park at the end of Balham’s lane and explore heath and enjoy the café from there (its the road in the bottom left corner of the map below).
Parking: we park on the road near the entrance to the footpath by Ashfield Barn Road here
Buggies/scooters: the terrain isn’t really suitable for either.
