MUNCES WOOD
Munces Wood and Kimber’s Copse is a lovely little area of woodland and grassland tucked behind Marlow Bottom. We only very recently discovered this hidden gem!
There is a board showing the routes as soon as you enter the woodland after parking up. You’ll be able to see and follow the routes very easily. The route we followed was the one marked with yellow way markers. This circular route was roughly 1 mile.
NEED TO KNOW
Parking: We parked at the very end of New Road in Marlow Bottom. There is direct gate entry into the woodland from here and plenty of free parking on the road. It is a residential road so obviously important to not block any driveways.
Distance: the yellow way marker circular route is roughly 1 mile long. You can extend this slightly or shorten depending on your needs.
Buggy’s/Prams: The woodland path is fairly firm underfoot but there are quite a few tree routes you would need to negotiate. There are also routes which avoid some of the woodland. I’m confident it would be possible to find a suitable route for an off road buggy although we have not actually tested this out.
Pit stop: there are no pit stop options directly in/near the woods but there are several options in Marlow Bottom. It’s worth mentioning that there is a flat grassland area on the circular walk which would make an ideal picnic spot in the summer months – with views over Marlow.
