Bekonscot Model Village and Railway is the world’s oldest and original model village, opening for the first time in 1929. With over 80 years of history, huge model railway, 1.5 acres of well kept gardens and finely detailed model buildings Bekonscot is a great day out for everyone.

Opening times: open from Saturday 15 February until Sunday 2 November daily from 10am-5pm.
Prices: Adult £9.50, Child (2-15) £5.50, Under 2s free, Family £27. There are concessions and annual memberships available. Please refer to their website
Facilities: free car parking, tea room, gift shop, picnic area, ride on railway, ride on simulators i.e. Thomas tank engine etc, remote controlled boats, pirate blaster and play areas.
The MarlowMum’s verdict: For younger children, toddlers and pre-schoolers and even early Ks1, Bekonscot offers a really sweet day out. When kids get a bit older you may find they rush round and are done a bit too quickly, but for toddlers and pre-schoolers it’s a perfect morning activity before coming home for naps.
