We are really lucky in Marlow to have a great selection of local schools. That said, it doesn’t make choosing the right one for our children any easier! I’ve tried to give a quick summary of all our local schools and the schools key data below. Use links to jump straight to the info you need.
Marlow C of E Infant School

Marlow C of E Infant School or ‘Sandygate’ is a popular and well thought of school located near the town centre. It caters for children from 4 to 7. There are 2 classes per year. The school is linked to the before and after school provider ‘Tea Timers’ which is on the same site.
Children from Sandygate generally go on to Holy Trinity school which is next door at the age of 7. There is no direct guarantee that your child will get in to Holy Trinity but it is expected that they will (should they wish).
The school is closely linked with All Saints Church, Marlow.

Foxes Piece Primary School

Foxes Piece School is on the A404 side of town set back from the road so not immediately visible. It caters for children aged 4 to 11.
It is a school that has historically been less popular although on it’s Ofsted report last year it was graded as a ‘Good School’. The school has lots of open space and great facilities. It is very well thought of by parents and children that attend the school.

Little Marlow C of E Infant School

Little Marlow school is just outside of town on the Bourne End side of the A404. That said, it is a very short car journey from Marlow often avoiding the worst of the Marlow traffic!
It is a small school with just 1 class per year for children aged 4 to 7. The school feeds in to Holy Trinity although it is not a given that your child will get in, just expected. The schools are tightly linked under one federation so children are very familiar with Holy Trinity before they go there.

Spinfield Primary School

Spinfield caters for children from aged 4 to 11. It is another of the very well thought of schools in Marlow, located on the west side of Marlow ‘up the hill’ (Terrington Hill). There is one class per year and the school is generally filled with children from the immediate vicinity.
The school has after school care provided by Spin Around who pick children up from Spinfield School and take them to St Peters School where the after school club is held.

St Peters Catholic School

St Peters is situation behind Riley park, it’s a Catholic School which means it does not have a standard catchment area like other schools. It takes children from the Diocese (which includes everywhere in and around Marlow!). It is a primary school for children aged 4 to 11. Children do not need to be Catholic to attend but they will be taught the fundamentals of Catholicism as well as other religions. There is one class per year.

Danesfield Primary School

Danesfield school is on the West side of Marlow towards Medmenham. It caters for children aged 4 to 11 with 2 classes per year. They were visited by Ofsted in 2018 were graded as Outstanding. They are also very proud that they are recognised as a Microsoft showcase school since 2016. This is clearly a very good school that is doing especially well at the moment.

Burford Primary School

Burford School caters for children aged 4 to 11 with 2 classes per year. It’s the only school in Marlow Bottom. Children from the A404 side of Marlow have got in in recent years. There is after school provision and the school benefits from lots of outside space.

Bisham Academy

Bisham school is on the Berkshire side of the Marlow bridge. It has recently become an academy joining the Ashley Hill Multi Academy trust in 2017. It is a small school but is growing consistently after a great deal of investment from the Trust. Being small means that they have small class sizes, with the largest class having 18 children last year. It caters for children aged 4 to 11.

Holy Trinity

Holy Trinity school caters for children aged 7 to 11. Children usually feed into the school from Marlow C of E school and Little Marlow. It has had a very good reputation over recent years as it is an Outstanding school as graded by Oftsed. This was back in 2013 so it will be interesting to see if this grading can be kept on the next inspection. The school is tightly linked with Marlow All Saints Church.
