Here’s a run down of all the football clubs that run kid’s football training in and near Marlow. Training sessions run after school or at weekends. Some clubs take part in local league matches running at weekends.
Football Clubs training in Marlow
Fantastic Football is based at Bisham Abbey on Saturday mornings for girls and boys in school yrs 1-5 (classified as under 6 – under 10). This is for players of all abilities with training on the 4G pitch with highly qualified coaches from FAB Academy. Matches on a Sunday. Pay and play. After the age of 10 children train with Marlow United.
For children playing in U11s to -U18’s training sessions run during the week on the astroturf at Great Marlow School. New players are always welcome to go for a trial, however squad sizes are limited by leagues so they cannot accept everyone. Fees for this age range are an annual fee. Matches held on Saturday mornings.
Unlike the other football clubs listed this is not an organised training session but a ‘pay as you play’ activity on the astro turf at Redgrave Sports centre. This is for children to turn up and pay £2 to play football at weekends and in half terms.
Marlow FC Minors & First Soccer aim to give children in reception, year one and year two, high quality football coaching and teach them valuable skills in a fun and friendly environment. Training sessions run on Saturday mornings at Danesfield School with matches typically running on Sundays. Pay and play.
For boys and girls aged between 5 and 15, FAB offers weekly coaching sessions, run by experienced, highly qualified Football Association coaches. Sessions run on Mon, Wed and Fri evenings. Players try out before they are able to join. The best players may be invited to take part in occasional matches. Book by the term.
Training sessions run every Saturday morning at Great Marlow School for children aged 5 to 6. Pay and play. Once children reach year 7 at school they go on to train with Marlow Youth also on Saturdays at Great Marlow School. Volunteer led teams play matches on Sundays. All coaches are DBS, 1st aid trained and FA qualified.
Marlow FC Girls aim to provide girls aged from 5 to 11 with high quality football coaching and teach them valuable skills in a fun and friendly environment. These sessions are FREE and run every Saturday morning at Holy Trinity School.
Football Clubs training near Marlow
Training and league matches for children in year 2 to year 9 with a special league for girls. Henley Lions have over 300 kids at all different levels so training runs at various locations and times but typically training is mid week with matches on Saturdays. Year 2 and 3 training is at Cressex astro on a Tuesday evening.
Training sessions run at Cressex School in High Wyombe on Saturday mornings with groups for children from 18m to 7 yrs. Sessions at Cox Green Leisure Centre run on Monday eve’s for U7s and U8s and on Sunday mornings with groups for 18m to 7yrs. There are also matches at Cox Green for U8s. Pay monthly.
Maidenhead Boys and Girls Football Club was founded in 1964 and is proud to be one of the oldest youth clubs in the area. The club runs 17 boys teams and 8 girls teams for children in Maidenhead and surrounding area. The teams train weekly throughout the year and compete in Berkshire leagues during the football season. Training typically mid week after school with matches on Saturdays.
Pro Football Academy
For children aged 5 to 14yrs old. Football training sessions held after school on Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s at Bourne End Academy. Girls only training on Tuesday evenings. No matches other than an optional 7 a-side team for 11 to 14yr olds which runs on Thursday evenings. Payable per course.
Saturday Morning and midweek Soccer for enjoyable, well-structured skills training and mini-games, run by experienced FA-qualified coaches. For chilren aged 5 to 6yrs old. These are 50mins classes to develop football skills, there are no matches. Classes run on Saturday mornings at St Pirans school in Maidenhead, in Beaconsfield and High Wycombe at Wycombe Sports Centre. Monthly DD payment.
Bourne End Junior Sports Club Football
For children aged 2 to 18yrs old. They run training at various times at locations in Bourne End according to age. Groups for age 4 to U7s run on Saturday a.m at BEJSC Sports Hall. U8s and U9s run Saturday a.m at Bourne End Academy. U10s at Wooburn Park on Saturday a.m. U11s run at Bourne End Academy on Thurs evenings. U13s and U15s at Wooburn Park on Saturday a.m. U18s at Bourne End Academy on Wed eve’s. U7s upwards play matches on Sundays. Also girls Wildcats on Mondays and Saturdays.
