Shillingridge Woods Walk

These woods sit between the Frieth and Marlow which is a particularly hilly area with great views, making it a great family walking route. We parked at the end of Mundaydean Lane in a layby, before following the footpath into the woods. Our boys loved the woodland – it has lots of excellent places for hiding!
It’s worth knowing that in the winter months the woods get very muddy. Full on waterproof trousers and wellies advisable!
Once the footpath reaches an open expanse of field, enter into the field and walk anti clockwise around it until you notice some old circular hay bales on your right next to some woodland. At this point you can cut into the woodland and pick your way through back to the original path that you travelled in on. It’s not a well trodden route.. but it’s pretty much straight!
