What’s it all about?
Marlow Common is a an area of woodland near Marlow town center that makes a perfect place for a walk and play for children of all ages. The area was an old WW1 training ground so there are lots of bunkers for exploring as well rope swings, dens and an abundance of fallen logs. There isn’t an exact path to follow but its really easy to make your own circular route of the right distance for your kids without getting lost. The pictures above are all taken on the route shown on the map I have included. This is just the part we have explored but there is lots more. So get the wellies and waterproof trousers on and let the kids enjoy the natural play ground of the woods.
Marlow Common is a massive area of fields and woodland but the pictures and this map shows the way to the area we park and have explored. There are two car parks. The route shown assumes parking in the second of these. You pass these on your left as you fork right off the road which is off the Henley Road (I can’t see a name for this road). Car park means small ish muddy lay by area where a few cars can park!
