What’s it all about?
Ladds Garden Village is a garden centre on the A4 Reading road before Hare Hatch, about 10mins from Marlow. It’s a place i’d driven past for years without realising that inside are some great mini attractions for pre-school age children and animal lovers. The garden centre itself is not as ‘shiny’ as the Wyvales and alike but it’s home to a number of really interesting independent businesses.
Reading Reptile Centre:– see really large snakes, lizards, tortoises and more.
Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre:- see their collection of Hawks, Falcons and Owls. They also run experience days for children to watch the birds fly and learn all about them.
Linton Pet Store:– see bunnies, mice, hamster and lots and lots of birds. Watch out for the loose roaming Parrots!
Bouncy Baileys:– these guys hire out bouncy castle equipment but they have a party room which is open to the public in the week time where kids can play whilst you grab a coffee.
The Floral Cafe: there is a nice little cafe (in addition to coffee in Bouncy Baileys) which when I have been, has never been too busy. They pride themselves on home cooked food and have free wifi and freshly gorund coffee. I can imagine it being an ideal place for a group of mums to meet. It’s an enclosed space so also good that littlen’s can’t escape!
The Garden Centre is open 7 days a week 9 to 5:30pm every day except Sunday which is 10am until 4pm. It’s worth checking opening times of Bouncy Baileys before you go (07837 194 154)
