Denham Country Park

Denham Country park covers 69 acres of land and includes a nature reserve, two rivers and a stretch of the Grand Union Canal.
There is an adventure playground, cafe and lots of footpaths and tracks suitable for walking, buggies or bikes. Along the marked nature trail track there are 10 brass rubbings which our kids enjoyed. Remember to take some paper and a crayon!
From the map above, we only did the nature trail and this route would be suitable for buggies and bikes – although if you are on bikes you would likely want to look to extend this route. If/when we get back here to do a cycle route we’ll post up the route we do. We’d recommend using an Ordnance Survey map to plot your route for bikes first OR speak to the visitor centre, they may have maps.
Where/When
Denham Country Park is a really easy 25 to 30mins drive from Marlow just off the M40.
It is open from 8:30am until 4pm in the winter an 7:30pm in the summer months.
Need to know
Buggies/Prams: Yes. Most tracks are surfaced with a gravel base (rather than tarmac) suitable for off road buggies. There are kissing gates but these have been built nice and large for easy access.
Scooters: The tracks are not suitable for scooters due to the gravel base.
Bikes: Yes although we can’t recommend a route as yet as we have not cycled here yet. That said, it’s somewhere we would look to come to on bikes when the weather is nice and we have time to get the bikes on the car.
Pit stop: there is a café serving hot and cold food with indoor and outdoor seating. There are toilets with baby changing facilities.
Parking: parking is pay and display.
Play ground: the adventure playground was ideal for our children aged between 4 and 9. The older children loved the climbing structures and monkey bars. There was also swings and sand play more suitable to younger children.
