Booker Airfield

What’s it all about?

Booker airfield is less than a 10 minute drive from Marlow and offers a great mini trip out for aeroplane inquisitive kids. You are generally able to see helicopters and small aeroplanes very close up as they take off and land. There is a small cafe with an outside area for viewing the planes.Β

Where/When

The cafe is open 9am to 5pm 7 days a week for coffee, cold drinks, cakes and snacks. The kitchen is open 9am to 4pm for breakfasts, sandwiches and a selection of hot food

This week we hosted a joint emergency training exercise with our on-site team working in partnership with colleagues from South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service and Thames Valley Air Ambulance. Pilot students from Bucks New University volunteered for the roles of casualties.
The exercise was an excellent demonstration of inter-agency cooperation and provided valuable training opportunities for all involved.
Thank you to everyone who took part and made this possible.

Congratulations to Travis Ludlow for completing his first solo flight only a day after his 16th Birthday! Well done!A day after my birthday but that's fine. I flew 5 circuits yesterday but the cross wind was just a bit much for my solo and I was running out of time. Today was perfect weather which actualy made the solo even better.
A big thanks to my instructor Kevin Duthie, I know you wanted to send me solo yesterday but I think you made the right call.
Now let's get on to the next stage of my PPL training.

Thanks to to my Dad for a great two day and for everything he does in helping me fulfill my dream.
