Year 4 have been looking at Coding as part of the IT Curriculum this term. They have been using 2Code in Purple Mash to create animations and someone brought in their robotic dog, 'Bella', as another example for coding. The pupils created a set of instructions (algorithm) to make 'Bella' change colour, move around the room, turn and bark. The pupils have been discussing how coding can be used in the wider world.

The whole school enjoyed the performance given by the Herries Recite finalists today combined with Golden Assembly. Following each individual poem, Year 1 performed some choral speaking rhymes with actions. Mrs Bell and Miss Todd found it difficult to select one winner as the standard was so high, but felt that Jessica had met the judging criteria. Each child was awarded a certificate for their performance and for reaching the final. Well done all! #Herries #ReciteCompetition ... See MoreSee Less
