What’s it all about?
MUSICAL MAYHEM is an award-winning live music experience giving babies and toddlers in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire a lively introduction to traditional, modern and original children’s songs.
Their 45-minute drop-in classes are run by a team of friendly local mums with musical talent. Live musical accompaniment is provided on various instruments including guitar, keyboard, harmonica, melodeon, ukulele and (occasionally!) trumpet.
The classes are suitable from birth up to school age and are highly interactive with colourful props, hand puppets, masks, scarves and parachute games to bring the songs to life. The children get to try different percussion instruments including egg shakers, tapping sticks and jingly bells.
There is a different theme every week with a mixture of new songs and old favourites. Children love repetition and knowing what comes next so there are some songs they sing every week.
Classes run in several locations but the closest to Marlow are those in High Wycombe. These run on Wednesdays at 10am and 11.15am. See their other locations here.
High Wycombe Classes run at the Cressex Community Centre, 203 Cressex Rd, High Wycombe HP12 4PZ
All sessions are drop-in so you don’t have to worry about signing up in advance – just go whenever you like and they will always be very happy to see you! Tickets are £6 per family and this includes the drink and snack.
