The King’s head in Little Marlow have recently launched a kid’s eat for £1 deal. This deal is available every day between 3pm and 6pm and is available with each paying adult. We went along to try it out.
We took the boys along for an early dinner and sat outside in the garden. For me it’s always a real treat not to have to think about cooking dinner for the kids in the evening. The garden area is perfect in as much as it’s enclosed and you can keep your eye on the kids from all angles without having to move from your glass of wine 🙂
On the kids menu there are 6 main meals to choose from and 2 deserts. My boys chose the Kings Head Kids Burger with chips and slaw and the Cheese and Tomato Flatbread Pizza. My husband and I tried out a sharing board to start – Roasted peppers, grilled halloumi, hummus, olives, falafel, flat breads & tzatziki. We then had the Ceaser Salad and Thyme roasted chicken, crushed new potatoes, chorizo, wilted spinach. We both thoroughly enjoyed our choices.
We had to opt out of puddings as we were too full but the boys tried the Eton Mess- Meringue, Strawberries & Cream and an Ice Cream Cone with either Vanilla, Strawberry or Chocolate. I had thought we would get a little taster of the kids puddings but they vanished before we could get a look in!
In summary, I give the Kings Head in Little Marlow a thumbs up for tasty food, a good sized bear garden, easy free parking and very friendly staff. The £1 kids meal option is great value and definitely helps make taking the family out for dinner more affordable.
On a separate note, it’s worth remembering the private function room that’s available for hire. It has a lovely feel about it and ideal if you want somewhere that caters for inside and out (I included a pic above).
