We review ‘Bounce Buddy’… the new Marlow-based bouncy castle business
Are you looking for some outdoor fun for your kids now that lockdown rules are beginning to ease? If so, MarlowMums is pleased to recommend to you ‘Bounce Buddy’ – the new bouncy castle business recently set up by two Marlow families.

We were invited to try out one of their brand new ‘all singing and dancing castles’ (literally – it had a disco ball and in-built bluetooth speaker!!). We thought as well as telling you what our little reviewers thought of it, we’d firstly tell you a bit about who ‘bounce buddy’ is…
Amiee, we know you are a family run business, but tell us about how this new business idea came together and who’s involved?
Bounce Buddy was set up by two local families from Marlow (The Coleman’s & The Silva’s). Between us we have 4 fun loving kids (Jack aged 3, Theo aged 2.5, Bertie aged 6 and Claudia aged 7) who absolutely love to bounce! Nick and Udhi had a couple of other businesses (Snaffling Pig & Medical supermarket) but we wanted one that would enable us to spend time with the kids and have fun with our family and friends and help others to do this too. The smiles and giggles on our kids faces when they are enjoying one of our castles is priceless and brings us so much joy! We get a real kick out of knowing our customers will experience the same thing with their family and friends. We involve the kids in the business as much as we can, they sometimes help set up, they help us choose the castles in our range and they review and test every castle. We also have a very special one that we affectionately call ‘Theo’s castle’, it’s the racing car one and every time it’s hired out we make a donation to Histio UK as they have supported Theo through his cancer treatment.
If someone is interested in having a bouncy castle in their garden, what do they need to find out to know if their space is suitable?
We have bouncy castle’s suitable for all size’s of garden. Our website gives details of the castle size’s and the space required. We need more space than the actual castle to allow users to get on and off safely and for other equipment used to inflate the castle. We are always available to answer any questions or talk through the space required if anyone isn’t quite sure.
How far in advance do you have to book and what happens if it rains?!
Ideally we encourage booking as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment, but we will always do our best to try and supply a castle even if it’s a last minute request. We don’t want any disappointed families out there!
If it is forecast to rain on the day then we will contact the customer 48-24 hours before to see if they would like to cancel their booking or reschedule.
What is the starting price to hire a bouncy castle?
Our castles start at £90 and go up to £130 for day hire. The more expensive ones have a real wow factor and come with slides, disco lights and a speaker to play music. Our favourite castles feature a dinosaur mouth as the slide exit, a 3D racing car and 3D unicorn.

The MarlowMums.com verdict
The lovely Nick and Udhi came and set up their brand new ‘disco bouncy castle with slide, music and lights’ in JoJo’s garden. Having never hired a bouncy castle before we were surprised how quickly it went up – in no time at all the kids were launching themselves on as the beats from the bluetooth speaker began.
We felt that the music was a great touch as it immediately created the party vibe without needing to think about having a speaker out in the garden. It was simply a case of connecting our phone’s to the bluetooth speaker and voila!
The next big hit was the slide. The boys LOVED launching themselves down the slide then running around to go again. We felt this helped keep the kids interested for longer than a conventional ‘just bounce’ type of castle.
The pictures say it all really. The kids had such a great time with the bonus being that they burned off a load of energy whilst we got to sit back and enjoy a catch up and a socially distanced beverage or two!
