GoFigure Pilates

What’s it all about?

Our post natal classes are all about making exercise accessible to you without the need for child care. It is an hour long class, that baby can come with. During this hour long class you will be guided through a combination of exercises which will, tone, strengthen and allow you to burn some calories along the way.

Although this is a group class, care is taken to make sure mums are exercising at their own level, with lots of different options given to mums who need a slower or faster approach.

Promised myself I would give myself a break from courses for a while, but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to finish of the last module in my Women’s Wellness Specialist qualification last weekend. Very informative and so important as I work with my clients traveling through menopause and beyond.
Other courses I taken to secure this certificate include
The Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Rehab programme

The Eve Appeal have some useful information for you on each of these – please have a read: socsi.in/ZF7Qz

In the UK alone, there are over 21,000 women who are sadly given the news that they've been diagnosed with a form of gynaecological cancer.

Go Figure Personal Training

It is with a very heavy heart that I share this news with you guys. After 7yrs of teaching Let’s Go Mummy Buggy class, I’m afraid to say I am cancelling the class this term as of this evening.

This has been a fantastic class to teach.

I have been very lucky to meet so many amazing Mums and fortunate to shared in a small part of their journey though motherhood and beyond.

The class has dwindled the past two terms and despite renewed efforts to help promote it, these have not been successful.

Time to re-evaluate and set new goals.

Due to a late cancellation, one space has become available in the Mumillates class - Postnatal Pilates class.

This class focuses on retraining and strengthening pelvic floor, Improving breathing patterns post pregnancy, and healing separation of tummy muscles also known as Rectus diastasis.

Exercises also help to release tension built up due to the pressures pregnancy and taking care of your baby has placed on your body. Allowing you to stand taller, move with more ease and focus on exercises that will allow your body to heal and recover post Pregnany and delivery.

Classes take place on a Thursday afternoons at 2.10 - 3pm
Venue: St Peters Church - Furze Platt
Term commenced September 12th.
Baby welcome but not involved in class.

A question I often get asked by mums is - What should I bring to Let’s Go Mummy Buggy class....often they mean for baby, however mum needs a few essentials also.

Trainers - good supportive footwear that will give your feet, knees and pelvis the stability they need.

Water - yes mum, you guys need to drink to. So many times I have seen mums slurping from their kids sippy-cups because they have forgotten their own drinks. Make a rule and pack the water bottle in the car the night before.

Sun hat or sun glasses - yes it may be approaching autumn but there is still a lot of heat in that sun out there and we need to be careful.

Sunscreen - trust me, your 50yr old self will thank you for this. Don’t forget the hands ladies, with constant exposure to the sun while pushing your buggies, these are often the first to show signs of ageing.

6 days left until term start!
