    Bring your own baby comedy

    BYOB Comedy is a new comedy event aimed at mums, with their little ones in tow, debuting at The Swan in High Wycombe on 21st March. Show More Comedians from TV and the comedy circuit will entertain mums whilst their little ones can enjoy playing and crawling around on soft flooring. They provide buggy parking, baby changing and helping hands, so that parents can relax and enjoy the show. Their lunchtime shows feature a brand new line up of acts each month.     Pick your Christmas tree at Christmas Common

    Christmas Common

    christmascommonA small family business based in Christmas Common (about 20mins drive from Marlow) grow and sell Christmas trees. They only open their doors to the public for a few weeks per year on the lead up to Christmas. Whilst I’ve not visited here myself yet, I’ve been told by friends that it makes a lovely Christmas trip out – in addition to making the crucial tree purchase!     Lantern Making Workshop - The Carnival of the Animals

    A very royal Christmas: A visit from the Fairy

    The Sheppard Family Christmas Lights

    Marlow Bottom

    Every year the Shepherd family in Marlow Bottom set up an incredible display of lights on their home to raise money for charity. It takes them 12 days to erect 35,000 lights choreographed to music making an amazing display. The lights run from 1st December until 5th January from 4pm to 11pm every day. Everyone welcome.     Winter wonderland at Worlds End Garden Centre

    worldsendIn addition to the usual Christmas things you’d expect at a big Wyevale Garden Centre the Worlds End Wyevale creates a Winter Wonderland walk through which ends with visiting Santa in his grotto. In past years they have also had face painters and a couple of fair ground rides for littlens. We visited two years ago and it made a lovely Christmassy trip out.
